NFL Week 10 Takeaways
NFL Week Takeaways
A heavy Diet of blowouts Characterized The NFL Week 10 slate Of Games, Especially The Evening Run, packed with all NFC Matchups. The NFC West is In Full Effect as the Seahawks and Rams separate Themselves At The Top Before an epic Naruto Versus Sasuke Meeting In Week 11. The Dust Hadn’t settled on Jacoby Brissett’s Status As The Cardinals ' Time status Before The Seahawks Jumped On Him Early, forcing two fumbles Early As Seattle Took Off To an early 35-0 Lead In The Second quarter. Seattle remains in Control to end the Game Despite Some Turnover Problems of Its Own. The Seahawks win the Potential Trap Game 44-22.
The Rams beat the Niners 42-26, Getting Slight outdone by Seattle, But The Rams put Up Their Points On Offense as Matthew Stafford Remains The Hottest Football Player On Planet Earth, with Four Touchdowns Making His 20 TouchdownS and zero Interceptions In His Last Six Games as The Rams Get Revenge On The Niners and Lead The NFC West At 7-2 With The Head To Head Over The Seahawks. The Lions Crush The Commanders 44-22 as They Bounce Back From A Loss In Week Nine By Generating 546 Yards Of Offense Against A Washington Hobbled and Now Turning Their Intention to Next season. Jared Goff 25/33 320 Passing Yards, Three Touchdowns, 135.9 Passer Rating. After ten weeks, the NFC shows no separation, with many teams closely matched and capable of beating each other.
Added To The List Of Things I Never Though Possible In 2025, The Panthers Suffered An Upset Loss, This One To the Saints In Carolina, One Week After Knocking Off The High Powered Packers Team. Another Surprise From Week 10 On A Day When The Bills Lose To The Dolphins and Get Shut Out In The First Half, The Jaguars Suffered An Even More ShockING Loss.
Jaguars Vs Texans
Leading 29-10 Heading Into The Fourth, The Jags Pull Off An Unfathomable Collapse. The Jacksonville Offense Generates one Yard In nine plays As The Texans Score 26 Points Unanswered, 204 Yards Of Offense In The Fourth Quarter and Upset The Jags. Texans back Up Quarterback Davis Mills Filling In for An Injured CJ Stroud Played Inconsistently starting The Game With An Interception But Turned In A B+ Grade At The End Sort Of Like The One He’d Get At Stanford, Maybe He Got A Grades, 27/45 292 Passing Yards, 226 Air Yards(77.4%) 6.5 Attempt, 8.4 Per Completion, Two Touchdowns One Pick 10.8Yards Per Completion and 84.7 Passer Rating. His 14 Yard scramble That Put The Texans In Front Added The Exclamation Point To The Game, and The Image That Exemplified The Game As Jags Edge Rusher Travon Walker Just Threw His Hands Up In Disbelief As Davis Mills turned the Corner And dove towards The End Zone To Put The Texans up 36-29. The Jags Looked Stunned The Entire Fourth Quarter, As No One knew How To Make The Texans run in The Fourth Quarter Stop. Trevor Lawrence Continues To Play Untenably 13/23 for 158 Passing Yards, One Touchdown, One Interception, 74.2 Passer Rating, Bryce Young Type Number, and Inexcusable As his Promising Career Veers Into An unsalvageable Stage. Jags Receiver Parker Washington had Two Touchdowns, One Receiving, One On Punt Return. The Jags Got Out, Gained 412-213 In Total Offensive Yardage. For the Texans, Nico Collins had 7 Receptions, 19.4 Yards Per Reception, and 137 Receiving Yards.
Bucs vs Patriots
In a Game of Two Evenly Matched Teams, Drake Maye and the Patriots Prove Too Much late, Even Against A Fourth interception by Maye. The Patriots Prevail Over The Tampa Bay Bucs 28-23. The Bucs fall Short In The Fourth after Picking Off Drake Maye In The Tampa Red Zone. Kept The 21-16 In Fourth, But Baker Mayfield and The Offense Can’t Convert The fourth Down To Keep The Drive Alive. Patriots Rookie Running Back Treyveon Henderson. The Underwhelming Second Round Running Back Out of Ohio State Ran For a 69 Yard Game Sealing Touchdown with Less Than Two Minutes Left In The Fourth, His Second Explosive Touchdown Run Of The Game. Henderson Rushed For A Career Best 147 Rushing Yards, On 14 Carries, 10.5 Yards Per Carry, Including A 55 Yard Touchdown Early In The Third Quarter Against One Of The Toughest Run Defenses In Football. Drake Maye Produced His First Game Below 100 Passer Rating, finishing 89.4. After the pick, and finished 16/31, 51.6% for 270 Passing yards, two touchdowns, and One Interception. But he Produced A lot of Big Plays In The Passing Game, including A 72 Yard Touchdown Catch And Run Play To The Other underwhelming Rookie Round Pick Receiver, Kyle Williams. Maye didn’t need to Throw The Interception in The End Zone with two defenders in the Area, But He’ll Learn And Advance. The Patriots Prevail, Beating Both The Easy and Tougher Teams On Their Schedule, Moving To 8-2 In Well Ahead Of The Bills, Who Fell To The Dolphins On Sunday. The Patriots Produced 435 Yards Of Offense On 7.4 Yards per Play On The Bucs Defense. Stefon Diggs Continues To Prove He’s One Of The Most Valuable Offseason Acquisitions. 5 Catches For 46 Yards and A Masterful Toe Tap eight-yard Touchdown In The First Half. Mack Hollins, Wide Receiver, Off-season Acquisition Lead, The Team, In Receiving 6 Catches For 106 Receiving Yards. The Bucs Decided To stay Pat During The Trade Deadline, Knowing The Team Wouldn’t Get Much Help from The Outside Until The End Of The Season from Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. The offense doesn’t Have Enough Consistent Weapons, Just Moment To Moment, from anybody Not Named Emeka Egbuka, Who Looked Healthy, 6 Catches for 115 Receiving Yards. Baker Mayfield couldn’t Generate Enough late-game heroics, 28/43 for 273 Passing Yards, Three Touchdowns, a Passer Rating of 106.1 On The Board. The Bucs still get Get Anything Going In The Run game, but Sean Tucker Became The First Player This Season To Rush For 50 Yards Or Better Against The Patriots. The Patriots Win Seven Straight.
Broncos Vs Raiders
The Sun Has Finally Started To Breech The Horizon And Set On The Chiefs’ Dynasty, Or At Least Their Run on The AFC West. Kansas City Has Won The AFC West Nine Straight seasons. Patrick Mahomes Won Seven division Titles While Utterly Dominating the West, with a 35-6 Record Against His Division Rivals. No One With an Eye On Football Wanted To Close The Door on the Chiefs’ rallying From A Slow Start To Reign In The Broncos Once They Got Healthy And Faced Denver Twice Before The Season Ended.
The Broncos Hold Poll Position And A Schedule Laden With Games They Can Easily Win, like Thursday Night Versus The Raiders, and Four More Division Matchups to follow, and Other winnable Games Down The Line. The Raiders Entered Week 10 Coming Off a Loss To Jacksonville In Over Time, But The Offense Under Pete Carroll and Geno Smith and Co. Produced Their Best Game In Some Time. All World Tight End Brock Bowers Returned From Injury, Grabbed Three Touchdowns, and Geno Smith curbed some Of His Injurious Interception Habits. While The Season Remained Lost, even Had They Won The Game, if Geno Could String Together Enough Of Those Performances, The Price The Raiders Paid For Him would At Least Break Even By The End Of The Season. Geno Didn’t Continue To Play Up To Expectation, Not Against The Broncos' Defense, and Not On Thursday Night In The Mile High. Smith Got Hurt On A Late Hit By Edge Rusher Zach Allen. Football Fans Say Goodbye To Entertaining Thursday Night Football, The Wear And Tear Of The Season Will Start To Take Effect, But The Broncos Like To Win Ugly. The Raiders Scored The First Touchdown Of The Game On Their Second Drive Of The Game, An Ashton Jeanty Line Run, But The Rest Of The Way, The Broncos' Pass Rush Took Over, 21 Pressures And Six Sacks, Most Of Which Geno Smith Invited By Holding The Ball Too Long In The Pocket. Smith Averaged Close To 3 Seconds Time To Throw, And He Paid For His Inability To Play With Anticipation Against A Broncos Defense That Excels in Quick Disruptions. Both Teams Piled On The Penalties really thick In This Game. The Raiders had several significant gains called back because of penalties. The Broncos' offense experienced a stretch of success earlier this season, scoring 77 points over five quarters between Weeks 7 and 8, but later returned to its average performance. Both teams averaged negative Expected Points Added (EPA) per play, with the Raiders at -0.429 and the Broncos at -0.236, managing under 17 yards per drive. Bo Nix completed 17 of 31 passes, resulting in a 54.8% completion percentage for 163 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions (one of which was due to a ricocheted drop), leading to a passer rating of 53.6. Geno Smith 17/28, 60.7% Completion Percentage, 175 Passing Yards, One Interception That Bounced Out Of The Hands Of Running Back Ashton Jeanty, 63.8 Passer Rating. The Broncos' Defense Shut Down Brock Bowers, just One Catch For 31 Yards, But That was Partly Because Of Geno’s Struggles. The Broncos Struggled Against Tight Ends, Particularly Against the Giants and Colts. Rookie Pat Bryant Lead The Broncos In Receiving Yard With 43, Wide Receiver Troy Franklin Had Five Receptions For 40 Yards, One Touchdown. The Broncos Scored Their only Touchdown in The Second Quarter And What Became a Winning Field Goal In The Third Quarter. The Broncos Have Made Winning Ugly A Fashion Statement This Season, and while Bo Nix Always Flashes Potential, His Low numbers Remind You Why Their Offense Ranks 20th Overall According To ESPN FPI Metrics. Give credit to the Raiders' defense for forcing Nix to play under constraints. He completed only three passes that traveled over 10 yards in the air. Even though the Broncos' receiver was able to create more than three yards of separation downfield, Nix consistently struggled to find his rhythm and timing. Nix's Average Depth Of Target This Game 8.7, But His Air Yards Per Completion 4.8 Generally Struggling Down Field. The Broncos' Play Calling Didn’t Deliver A Sharp game, Potentially Not Wanting To Put Their Circumspect Quarterback In too Many Challenging Positions In a Potential “Trap Game”.
Ravens Vs Vikings
Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell Stated That He Felt “Comfortable” With the Quarterback Room Following The Loss Of Carson Wentz and The Return Of JJ McCarthy In Week Ten. The Young Quarterback Out of Michigan McCarthy Produced Moments Of Brilliance In The Vikings' Upset Win In Week 9. He’s Clearly Smart, understands the Offense, When To Check In and out, And He Demonstrated his Command Of The Game On Multiple occasions. The Offensive Line Still Can't Block Up The Middle, an Issue Dating Back To The Sam Darnold Run, And McCarthy Lacks The Overall Arm Talent To Defeat Tight Windows Down The Field, The Type Of Throws That Resulted In The Stripped Interception He Threw against Detroit. If McCarthy Could Avoid Throwing Deep, He Should develop into A Lead Quarterback, but against the Ravens, he Air Mails Two Passes Targeting Justin Jefferson That Land In The Hands Of the Ravens Defense, and the Vikings couldn’t expand on Their Slim Lead Over The Ravens. The Vikings' Defense Committed To Sending Pressure Against Ravens’ Quarterback Lamar Jackson, And The Strategy Succeeded At Slowing The Baltimore Offense Early, As The Vikings held the Ravens To Four Field Goals Through The Third Quarter. The Ravens didn't Look All the way Back Against The Dolphins in Week nine, Despite Four Touchdowns. In Between Those, Baltimore Had Multiple Failed Drives Against Miami, Lamar Jackson voided multiple turnover-worthy plays, but the Vikings let opportunity Slip Through Their Hands. The Turnovers For The Vikings Gave Lamar Jackson Too Many. A Lost Fumble On A Kickoff Set The Ravens up in Vikings Territory. The Ravens Run Six Plays, multiple Lamar Scrambles, But One Lamar Design Run On A Hand from Mark Andrews, and the Ravens score On A one-yard Justice Hill Run. The Ravens Take A 19-10 Lead In Third After Trailing Most Of The Game. The Ravens Prevail 27-19 thanks to several Vikings Turnovers and A Couple Of second-half half-touchdowns. JJ McCarthy 20/42 248 Passing Yards, One Touchdown, Two Interceptions 54.5 Passer Rating, Five Carries For 48 Rushing Yards. A lot of Growing Pains For McCarthy, Jalen Nailor, Five Catches for 124 receiving yards for the Vikings in a Game When Justin Jefferson didn’t Have Much To Give the Team four Catches, 37 Receiving Yards On 12 Targets. A lot of Passes And Plays Jefferson didn’t make in an Opportune Position. Lamar Jackson 17/29 for 176 Passing Yards, One Touchdown. The Vikings' defense effectively disrupted what Jackson and the Ravens aimed for on offense by applying pressure. Lamar Settled For 4.8 Average Depth Of Target Far Below His Average. The Vikings’ Offense and Special Teams Gave The Ravens Too Many Chances. The Ravens averaged 23.3 yards per drive and recorded a +0.013 expected points added (EPA) per play, indicating that the team is still struggling to find its rhythm while recovering to full health. They rushed for a total of 147 yards, with only 15 of those yards coming from scrambles.
Panthers Vs Saints
A Panthers-Saints Game so Bad In Utterance and Usually Does Not Garners Any Interest this Late In the Year, But The Panthers Upset the Packers In Week 9 And Somehow Look Poised to Make A Playoff Run. The Panthers, 5-4, While Underwhelming and Unglamorous, have more character than the 7-2 Patriots Because Of How The Panthers Managed Five Wins. The Panthers Have Climbed Out of The NFC Cellar without Quality Quarterback Play. In Year Three, Panthers Quarterback Bryce Young Looks Headed For The Shanahan Offense Reclamation Project. Bin and With The Careers Of The Other 5’10 quarterbacks, Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson, On Dire Straits, this Season Could Mark The End Of The Talented Undersize Quarterback In League History. The Panthers' defense and Run Game Couldn’t Overcome Their Circumspect Quarterback Play As The Saints Upset The Panthers 17-7. Tyler Shough proving Work The Nod The Saints Coaching Staff Gave Him 19/27 For 282 Passing Yards, Two Touchdowns, +4.4% Completion Percentage Over Expected, And A Passer Rating of 128.9. Shough Completed 6 Passes Of Ten Air Yards Or Better. With Rashid Shaheed in Seattle, Chris Olave had Five Catches For 104 Receiving Yards, one touchdown, and one Spectacular Catch. Tight end Juwan Johnson 93 receiving Yards On Four Catches, one Touchdown. Bryce Young 17/25 124 Yards, Only Two Completions Over ten Air Yards. He’s registered just One Game Over 200 Yards All Season, and in This Game, His Running Backs Couldn’t Bail Him Out.
Colts Vs Falcons
Daniel Jones Has Produced One Bad Game And Another Bad, Bad Quarter, and maybe The Expectation Of His near-MVP play From The Rest Of His Season shifts downwards? Many of Jones’s naysayers can’t wait until he sheds this new cloak of high-functioning quarterback play and reverts to Mr. Mishap, while rendering his early-season success down to a Shane Steichen elixir. Jones will Garner A lot Of Eyes On Him In The Pocket On Sunday, Not Only From The Falcons But From Spectators As More Film on how To Slow Jones Down In This New Colts Offense. As The Second Half Of The Season Begins, If Teams Smell blood Or Sense Weakness, They Will Charge At The Colts. Daniel Jones will need Another Season Of Elite Play Or a Deep Playoff Run To Shake The Anxiety That The Play Exhibited in the First Six seasons of His Career Created Around His Name, but he’s Capable Of Leading A team, especially based on the continuing Dour Moments He Produced On Sunday Versus The Falcons. The Falcons' Defense held the Colts to under 150 passing yards, as the Colts' offense produced 80 passing yards in the first quarter, highlighted by a 37-yard catch by Alec Pierce. The Falcons Produced 157 Total Yards Of Offense In the First Quarter and Two Touchdowns. The Falcons Focused On Shutting Down Jonathan Taylor, opening The Door For Jones On The Ground. Jones scrambled a lot in this game against the Falcons' blitz through the air, which resulted in a second-quarter interception.
The Falcons' Offense Played Their Usual Boom Or Bust Style Football. The Falcons Fumbled On Their First drive Of The Game, But They Took advantage Of Some Colts Miscues In The Pass Game. Falcon wide Receiver Darnell Mooney forced A 20 Yard Pass Interference Call, which led to A Tyler Allgeier Line Run. Drake London also Picked A 30 Yard Catch On The Falcons' First Scoring Drive. A Series Of punts for Atlanta, the Colts Decide To Cover Drake London with a Linebacker With Base Defense. Of Course, the Falcons Made Them Pay, hitting London Over The Top For A 16 Yard Score and a 14-13 Lead At The half. London Picked Up His Fourth Touchdown In Two Games Since Returning From Injury. After The First Half, Jones’s Ball Security worsened as The Game Wore On. The Falcons Have The Personnel To Both Cover down And Pressure In The Pocket, and Jones and Shane Steichen Neglected Ball Security During the Offseason, Which Resulted In Two sack Fumbles, One Loss, and One Recovered. Jonathan Taylor Got Going In The Forth Quarter, And Taylor Didn’t Wait Too Long To Make His Stamp On The Game. After A Field Cut, the Falcons lead 17-16. Taylor On The Colts' Second Drive Of The Fourth Quarter Rushed For An 83 Yard Touchdown Run That Put The Colts in The Lead. Taylor initially stopped for A two-yard gain Before He Slipped The Pocket And took Off For 81.8 Yards After Contact, and 78 Over Expected. The Falcons Regained The Lead On Drake London’s Second Touchdown As The Star Receiver Shook Colts Newly Acquired Corner Sauce Gardner For The Falcons' First Passing Touchdown Of The Game, and The Falcons Lead 25-22. The Colts Would Drive Into Falcons Territory With Less Than Two Minutes To Go, Convert A fourth, And Nail a game-tying field Goal. The Colts Kicker Struggled, Missing an Extra Point and Field Goal Early In The Game, but sent Through A 44 Yard Field Goal To Force Overtime. In The Extra Period The Falcons get The Ball First But The Colts Pass Rush, Selective All game Heat Up Penix And Getting The Stop. on The Colts Ensuing Drive Daniel Jones Completes A 23 Yard Dime Pass To Tyler Warren to Get The Colts Closer To Field Goal Range But Jonathan Taylor Decides To Take The Game Home, 6 Total Runs, 34 Yards Total, Five Straight Runs To Close The Game Out With A 8 Yard Touchdown. Taylor Finished A Ridiculous 244 Yards On 32 Carries, 228 After Contact, And Three Touchdowns. The Falcons' Attempt To Save Their Season Falls Short In Overtime 31-25 Daniel Jones 19/26 For 255 Passing One Touchdown, One Pick Three Fumbles, One Loss Fumble And 100.6 Passing Rating, Playing Well Enough To Not Cost the Colts An Amazing Jonathan Taylor Performance. Michael Penix Jr 12/28, 42.9 Completion Percentage, For 177 Passing Yards, Not Good Enough In A Game The Falcons Had To Have To Give The Falcons season Hope.
