NFL Week 2 Previews

Dolphins Vs Patriots

Neither the Dolphins Nor The Patriots Had A Fun Start To The Season. Every Loss Contains Something to Take Away from any Game, but Each Team wants to Move On from week one.  Miami performed worse than New England in Week One, and few expected this. However, both teams suffered losses that exposed the flaws in their fragile foundations. The Patriots Entered The Season With What looked like A Top Ten Secondary or At Least Corners, but Geno Smith walked Away With What looked like Sunday’s Best Passing Game (367 Passing Yards)before Josh Allen happened (389 Passing Yards). The Raiders Still Came Away with first in the NFL in explosive pass rate at 26.3%, 10.3 air yards per attempt, and 10 Explosive Pass (15+) against the Patriots' Defense Without Christian Gonzalez on Sunday. NFL Offenses Could Throw Away From The Defense's Strengths, and maybe Miami Choose To Stalk The Other side on The Board If Gonzales Returns Healthy--GONZALES Wont play Opening The Board For The Dolphins Pass Game. The Patriots' Offensive Line gave up 23 Pressure, and Drake Maye walked Away Facing Pressure On 39% Of His Drop-backs. These Porous Numbers Would Bode Well For A Dolphins Team With Tua, Tyreek, And Waddle, along With A Young Pass Rush, Would Thrive. The Week One Dolphins' performance indicates we're not dealing with the version of the team we saw in Mike McDaniel's first two seasons as head coach. Instead, we've entered a Twilight Zone episode with this group.. The Talented Defensive Line Could Rebound, But They Struggled Against The Run, And Drake Maye Brings Some Similar Problems With Mobility That Daniel Jones Brought.

Browns Vs Ravens

After a gut-wrenching Loss To The Newly Minted Rivals, the Bills and the Ravens Point In their Historic Run of fourth-quarter collapses. According to ESPN’s Ben Solak, the Ravens have averaged two Such Collapse Losses Every Season For The Past Four seasons. Will the trend continue as Baltimore faces the Browns? The Browns handed the Ravens one of those devastating two-score late-game losses back in 2023. Deshaun Watson at quarterback For The Browns, In A Game, Baltimore led 31-17 In The Fourth Quarter? The Browns don’t Often Find Themselves On The Right Side Of These collapses, if Any Team Knows About Late collapses, Cleveland would. The Browns Narrowly Escaped A Win In Week One Against The Bengals Thanks To a Shanked field goal, but Cleveland Has A History Of Nabbing A Few Unceremonious Losses and The Title Collapse King. Really, Since They Returned To The NFL in 1999, it Belongs To The Browns. Cleveland Came From Behind Against The Bengals, But The Most Recent Such Collapse was A Week Two Affair With The Jets Back In 2022, Which The Browns Held A 13 Point Lead With 1:22 On The Clock Before Holding On To Lose 31-30 At The End. The Quarterback For The Jets That Day, Joe Flacco, is the Current Browns Starter. The Ravens Secondary Proved Why “ON PAPER” Doesn’t Win. The Ravens' secondary looked solid after the draft, but names alone can't win games. The Ravens' defense struggled against Josh Allen. Not Every Quarterback Has The Ability Of Josh Allen, But He does. The Ravens' Defense Forced The Bills To Play One Dimensionally and Pressured Allen 18 Times On His 53 Dropbacks. Can The Brown Offense Give The Ravens Similar Problems As The Bills? Joe Flacco Faced Pressure On 25 Of His 48 Dropbacks. The Browns' Defense Played A Stellar Game, Planting A Reputable Bengals Offense At -0.33 EPA Per Run and -0.03 EPA Per Pass, 140 Net Yards On Offense, A Strong Showing For The Browns On Opening Day. The Browns will Face A Completely different Beast In The Baltimore Offense And Derrick Henry.

Bills Vs Jets

Buffalo’s Escape Act Against The Ravens Put The Team One Foot Over In The AFC, But The Battle To Hold The AFC East Crown Starts With A Matchup With The Jets. The Bills' Defense Struggled To Contain Lamar Jackson, Who Delivered A Perfect Game In A Loss. Justin Fields doesn’t bring the exact Presence As Jackson, But A Similar Multidimensional Problem As A Scrambler, And His Passing Improved as far as his Week One showing, +0.29 EPA Per Pass Play(100th Percentile), 3.38 Time To Throw, and 13.6 Per Completion. The Jets' defense allowed Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers' passing offense to do whatever they wanted. Meanwhile, an MVP-caliber Josh Allen is already performing at a league-leading level. He’s definitely not the player you want to see coming out of the tunnel when your defense needs to regroup. The Jets' Secondary Suffered Loads Of Busted Coverages, and They Have To Clean That Up Or Josh Allen Walks Away With Another Otherworldly Performance. Baltimore Wide Receiver Zay Flowers Gave The Bills' Secondary a Nightmare fuel all Sunday. The Jets have Garrett Wilson, Who Got Off To a Great Start To The Season, and A Player Who Can Play A similar Catch Role as Zay Flowers. The Trouble for The Jets: The Offense Doesn't Have Many Threats Behind Garrett Wilson. The Bills Will Most Likely shade Their Coverage To Wilson’s Side and Force Another Receiver Or The Jets’ Run Game To Beat Them. Jets Running Back Breece Hall Had A Strong Start With 107 Rushing Yards, 19 Carries For 5.6 Yards Per Carry, Despite Fighting Against Stacked Boxes( 8+ Defenders) for A Third Of The Game.

Saints Vs 49ers

Brock Purdy’s Injury History Continues to Pile Up, with This Latest Report Stating The Niners’ Lead Signal Caller Will Miss Multiple Weeks With A Toe Injury. The Niners made Purdy one of The Ten highest-paid players At The Quarterback Position in the OffSeason By Gifting Him A New Contract, But Some Concerns About Injuries arose during The Reporting Of Purdy’s New Contract. Purdy Has Only Missed Three Games Over The past two Seasons Due To Injury(Fair For A Football Player), But A UCL Injury Cost Purdy A Game In the NFC championship Three Seasons Ago, And Back Problems Cost Him A Few Games Last Season. Purdy’s Not Particularly Sturdy—I Intentionally Rhymed—In Terms Of Build, so Injuries May Continue To Mount As His Career Progresses. The Niners Will Face The Saints in Week, and Even With Purdy Down, The Expectations Remain That The Saints won't pose Much Of A Threat. Even With Mac Jones, The Former Round Pick Turn Journey- MAN BackUp Starting In Place Of Purdy. Purdy got off to A Great Start To The Season, 26/35 for 277 yards and two touchdowns, +12.7% CPOE, but Also Turned In Two Interceptions In A Win Versus Seattle. The Saints have Professional Players On Their Roster, But They Have a lot to Work Through As They Sort Out Their Own Quarterback And Roster construction Problem. The Saints Start A Backup Level Quarterback In Spencer Rattler, Who Played With Enough Effectiveness To Hold The Starting Position For a Franchise Needing To “Tank” This Season. The Niners don’t Need A Slip In One Of the Few “Easy Games” During This Stretch Without Purdy.

Colts Vs Broncos

Daniel Jones Will Have To Travel A Long Way To Prove To Fans And Critics That He’s Redeemed From His Fall with The Giants, But His Opening Performance For The Colts Serves As A Large Step Forward. The Colts and Jones Will Face A Far Tougher Test With The Denver Broncos, a Team that could be in the running for One Of The three wild-card spots. Last AFC South Team That Saw The Broncos Defense Walk Away With 122 Yards Of Total Offense, 2 Yards Per Play, 0.601 EPA Per Play. The Broncos' Defense Faced A Rookie Cam Ward In His First Start With the Titans. Daniel Jones had a good game against the Dolphins, but only four of his completions traveled over 10 air yards. The Broncos might try to pressure Jones and head coach Shane Steichen to play More Open In Terms Of Play Calling. Their defensive strategy should focus on keeping everything in front of them to maintain control of the game. The Colts' Defense Got 13 Pressures On Tua, And The Dolphins' Bad Offensive Line. The Broncos' Top Ten Offensive Line Gave 7 Pressures To Jeffrey Simmons From The inside. Can the Colts Win The Inside On Ground defense and Pressure Bo Nix From The Inside and Keep The Broncos On A Sputtering Start?
